camel spiders…..the fearsome creatures of the desert. There are more myths than facts about these innocent and ekusive creatures. This one was unknowingly transported from the desert during one of the outings to my room! and was dashing inside my room in al faqa, uae.

Camel Spider. although it is an arachnid, the camel spider is not a true spider. It is a Solifugae. It spins no web and has ten legs (5 pairs). They are also known wind scorpions and sun spiders or solifuges, and comprise of more than 1,000 described species.
